Night cycling recce

We were all geared up and raring to start on the cycling! Here's Kenny briefing us on the essential safety issues of the trip.

A look at the happy people before we set off.

Apparently the team had a problem with one of the bikes at the start but it was fixed in no time. Safety car 1 wasn't quite used to the pace and scooted off to the first stop ahead of the cycling folks.

Glowing happy people.

The happy people admired the view from the bridge at the Indoor Stadium as we waited for the cycling team to arrive.

Gamemasters, Eunice and Renu, explaining the first game to the happy people.

Louis displaying his extraordinary skills at extremely-slow-cycling which was really challenging...

while Kamal attempts reverse-cycling... with a twist.

The team set off for the next stop point at Padang

(with a break point at some point which I am unable to identify at present)

where we had a game of Blind Man's Treasure...

And Shyuan got punked!

Most unfortunately, we terminated the recce at Outram most regrettably (cos it had been so much fun), due to the ominous-sounding weather forecast. But the actual event's set to be a blast for all!

Sharing Session

In our quest to give due importance to the process of this noble endeavour, we invited our contact from Student Care Services (Yishun), Miss Low Yi Juan to share with us her experiences as a social worker and the potential scenarios that we as teachers may face in our daily contact with students of all ages, gender and backgrounds.

While waiting for Miss Yijuan to arrive

Miss Low Yijuan - Representative from Student Care Services (Yishun)

Yijuan smiling intently (most probably at the antics of our resident clown and senior citizen, Andrew Chan)

Guy in blue: "I hope Yijuan doesnt ask me for my name" - refer to that not too subtle email correspondence.. hehe

Kenny, the resident hunk, or is it Kenneth?

Logistics team: Kang En, Yongxi and Kelvin - place the names accordingly

The wisdom of the ages: Wee Seng and Andrew flanking our supervisor Dr. Chou

And so at the end of the day, we hope that the knowledge we gained will not only hold us in great stead for our future career but also make us all the richer as individuals and as human beings.
